Chris Rich has worked with TLC Tree Expert providing superior Boulder tree service for over five years. He got his start as tree worker in 2003 in northern Delaware. Eleven years later and a move across the country to Colorado, he can now proudly call himself a fully certified arborist. It was an unlikely chain of events that led him to this profession but he would not go back and change it for the world. “It has truly become a passion of mine and seldom ever seems like a job”.
Chris began learning about tree care under the guidance of certified Arborist Roger Wereb in Newark, DE. from 2003 until he moved to Colorado in 2006. Where he continued his tree care path while working for Dubois Tree Care in Wheat Ridge. Then in 2008, while working for Helping Hand Tree Service in Longmont, he achieved his goal of becoming an ISA Certified Arborist. In 2009, Chris felt it was time to become a subcontractor. By choosing this path, he could work with a variety of companies that he felt were exceptional tree care providers, this offered him opportunities to work with and learn from the people he felt were the best in the field in the Boulder, Co area, learning from the best has widened his approaches and methods of tree care. All of this, combined with countless hours of studying on his own with coffee in hand, you can often find Chris at The Cup or other popular Boulder coffee shops when not working, has culminated in the honor and privilege of being able call himself a professional arborist, and we at TLC feel fortunate to have him working with us.
When not working in trees or reading, studying, or learning about them, he may be found doing any of the following other fun stuff…. drinking coffee, riding bikes, skateboarding, taking photos, DJing, riding motorcycles, hiking, running, camping, traveling and generally just enjoying the life he feels so fortunate to be living!
